Matriculants Encouraged To Submit An Application For NSFAS Funding

Since the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to submit an application for funding with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The application window will close on fifteen December 2024, and there are not many days left to post applications. Suitable learners are urged to apply immediately to secure economical support for his or her post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.

Nkabane mentioned this pivotal moment marks the fruits of several years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach nsfas application their examinations with determination and confidence.

With Just around 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from throughout South Africa sit for this calendar year's matric examinations, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public with the department's preparedness to administer the exams smoothly.

Nkabane highlighted a variety of options accessible inside the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which happens to be open up to all matriculants seeking more education and skills development.
